Legal Costs, VAT and Disbursements
For uncontested English probate matters, we charge a fixed-fee of £1,500 for making an application for a grant of representation to the District Probate Registry. For administering an estate after a grant of representation has been obtained, our fees are charged at hourly rates for the work undertaken. Those are £350 per hour or £450 per hour depending on the person handling the matter. VAT is charged on our fees at the rate of 20%. As to disbursements, there will be an application fee payable to the District Probate Registry for making an application for the grant of representation. The application fee is £215 if the value of the estate is £5,000 or over. There is no fee if the estate is under £5,000. Please contact us for further information.
