International Property

International Property Lawyers & Solicitors

Our team of international property lawyers, come from many countries and carry a wide range of international legal experience. They form Part of the Kobalt Law LLP international Law team.

With specific & in-depth understanding of international property law and in particular their own country’s property law; our team of international property lawyers and solicitors can assist in avoiding all manner of problems and pitfalls.  “Going it alone”, or with assistance from unscrupulous foreign lawyers -often put at their “disposal” by sales agents- who only think of their commission and not the clients’ financial well-being, when buying or selling residential or commercial property abroad.

Having gained an excellent reputation in the international property arena, we are now being called upon to represent groups of claimants against international property developers, in the hope of recovering some of their lost deposits and other monies.

ARE YOU PART OF A GROUP OR DO YOU WANT TO GET A GROUP TOGETHER TO FORM A CLASS ACTION?

Quite often buyers of foreign property have worked for years to accumulate the savings which they are willing to invest without carrying out proper “due diligence” [on the Builder/ Developer/Project] or collecting all other manner of related information, they should have before committing to a binding contract.

The International Property Law team is fluent in more than 8 languages and most team members are qualified in more than one country.  This multilingual and multi-jurisdictional international property law approach enables the international property law team to advise on cross border matters.  Their understanding of civil and common law ensures you [the client] receive a clear understanding of what you need to achieve.  All our lawyers speak and write English fluently and many are qualified as English Solicitors.

Most of our team members advise English Solicitors from other firms, on what course of action to take, when dealing with international law and international property law matters.  Much international law is very different from our own English Law system, as most foreign countries are based on Civil Law Codes, which began with the Romans and which were then developed by Napoleon.
